NJ County of Monmouth state of emergency: DONT DRINK WATER

Unread postby SurvivalGirl » Fri Jun 29, 2012 8:59 pm

It may be contaminated and many people haven't been notified.
There was a pipeline break.

New Jersey American Water recommends the following steps for these customers:

Throw away uncooked food or beverages or ice cubes if made with tap water during the day of the advisory;
Keep boiled water in the refrigerator for drinking;

Rinse hand-washed dishes for a minute in diluted bleach (one tablespoon of household bleach per gallon of tap water) or clean your dishes in a dishwasher using the hot wash cycle and dry cycle.
Do not swallow water while you are showering or bathing;
Provide pets with boiled water after cooling;
Do not use home filtering devices in place of boiling or using bottled water; most home water filters will not provide adequate protection from microorganisms, and
Use only boiled water to treat minor injuries.

Hope everybody is ok there...it amazes me in this day and age, with all the technology we have, that they don't let people know right away of these kind of problems. :handgestures-thumbdown:

Have there been cases of Zombies there? Lol I am kidding. Too Soon? Ok so what bugs were in the water? Isn't it treated before it goes to our homes? maybe they didn't want people to blame them for the bad water. It could be that they were afraid of lawsuits. :roll:

You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

I can look a little like the walking dead in the am pre-coffee. Hehehehe. I am always afraid to look in the mirror before coffee.
