I loved Hogans Hero's. I watched a show called underground cities. It showed the underground bunkers that the Germans used in France during the occupation. I really don't think that the governement will be worried about us post SHTF right away. Maybe in a few years down the road when they decide to come out of the bunkers and try to re-establish control. I am not certain how well that will go over with all the people who have been surviving without them. lol WOuld they have to use force to lead us? Would that still be a democracy?

They won't care about us...I believe we will have to worry more about looters and thugs and the like.

Oh I agree with the thieves and thugs at first. But the govment is preping and planning for long term underground survival. They are also stocking seeds in banks all over. I heard that they were even sending a cache to the moon. What will we do after a few years of fending off the thieves and thugs on our own. Will we be able to go back to govment rule once we have had to rule ourselves for awhile?

I certainly doubt there would be a democracy (remember we don't live in one in the US though, it is a republic). Chaos would be something that wouldn't allow for voting...just my opinion.

I agree that we live in the United States Socialist Republic of America with all our forced altruism, however, I still think the govment as we know it plans to be around post SHTF. I think they plan to hide out till the worst is over than so here we are . We are now going to run your life again and save you from yourselves. They would onlt be able to do this by force using military control . Once people get free from them they usualy don't want to go back to be ruled over. Kinda like you free the peasants and they won't go back to being servants freely. How will we respond I wonder?
